Windows error CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT

Hi There,

Since reinstalling windows on my machine with the very kind assistance on this forum I am not presented with a frustrating BSOD with the warning CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT.

Upon googling said issues I find it doesn't really refer to anything I have issues with. I've tried running a memtest and that passed with no problem.

Its happens on random things like Using MS edge Browser, Editing in adobe Premier, Cinema 4D rendering. The BSOD doesn't complete its reboot so I need to manually reboot. I've looked for dump files with no luck Windows doesn't seem to complete any 'dumping' of error info to be read over.

What is frustrating is for the best part of a year there have been no issues and now upon a clean windows build this random BSOD appears?

My computer specs are:

System crashed again BSOD Didn't complete its restart just froze playing Apex legends and watching a youtube video on a 2nd Monitor Most bizarre.

Do you think a bios update / motherboard Drive installation would make a difference? Windows has just installed its defaults drivers for the MOBO not the Mobo specific drivers. Im also pretty sure the BIOS hasn't been updated since I got it?

I'm wondering if something went astray with the install, so suggest doing it again, following the intructions below

Download a new copy of Windows using the Media Creation Tool to an 8GB (min) USB.
Boot that USB and choose a Custom Install.
Delete all UEFI partitions on the system drive (EFI System, Recovery, MSR Reserved, Primary).
Select the unallocated space that results and click the Next button. The installer will create the correct partitions and install Windows.
Run Windows Update repeatedly, even across reboots, until no more updates are found.
You may need/want to download and install the latest graphics driver from the Nvidia website (they change so regularly the latest version isn't always in the Windows libraries).

Hi There, another update I decided to go with @Martinr36 s suggestions and reinstall windows again I created another Bootable USB stick and proceeded as instructed however how During the installation of windows the monitor goes black with no way of knowing that is happening? it hangs there. So I tried again and the same thing happened. After the 'setup a pin' for your system etc.

The reason I tried the reinstall was because windows was failing to boot at all just hanging on the liquid series splash sceen with the little dots flying in a circle to indicate loading. The dots would then freeze hence the reinstall?

Im using my machine for work and this is putting a serious dent in my productivity, do you have any suggestion about the next stage in the process of getting this fixed somehow? I am at the limit of my technical knowledge. I have a warranty with my purchase which is good for 3 years. Is this sort of issue covered by that ?

Of course im open to suggestions to how this could be resolved without returning the machine however I'm at a loss with how to proceed.

Many thanks

That sounds like some sort of hardware issue to me. Yes it will be covered by your warranty. I suggest you call PCS and discuss this with them.
