Would appreciate advice on my gaming build

Hello,

This would be my third machine from PCS, the first desktop. My last was a £2k, 970M SLI laptop in 2015.

Now I don't require the portability, but I do have a budget of £900.00.

I would like to play games at 1080p (no higher), high/ultra settings. This is purely a gaming rig. I don't care about looks, only the performance.

I got some great feedback on my last machine that I used before submitting the order. I would be grateful for more of the same.

One thing I don't know much about is the cooling, and whether I need any additional elements in addition to the 212X and standard thermal paste.

Thank you!

Assumptions I Have Made

Genesis G1B case over the 6003B case because I want the extra drive bays for the future.
i5-9400F is better value for performance than the i5-9600K. Can't afford an i7.
TUF Z370 over the Z-370P II because it has better onboard sound and more expansion capabilities (SATA ports).
8GB DDR4 2400MHz, enough to run games on this rig.
RTX 2060 better performance than 1660ti, and I can afford to pay for the extra fps it offers.
240GB SSD for Windows
500GB 860 for games. If there is a big increase in gaming performance I will get the 970 Evo Plus PCIe
450w over 350w power supply in case of future hardware upgrades.
Hyper 212X over the PCS Frostflow, because it is £10 more expensive, and must therefore be better!
No OS - keeping costs down and I have an OEM Windows 10 ready to go.
A 5GHz wifi card. I have 200mbps Virgin Media internet.

If you can spare a little more funds I would opt for 16GB of RAM over 8GB. If you want to save the cash go with the 1660Ti GPU, it'll more than handle 1080p at very good settings. The 2060 is overkill for 1080.

It may be worthwhile holding off until the 7th of July as new chips are due which may allow for an upgrade, or a discount on the current options available.

I'm assuming that was a misclick in the configurator. Don't buy that CPU. Maybe the R5 2600(x) was intended here.

Otherwise, I heartily agree with the above advice :)

If savings are needed, the 550W VS series PSU will do.
