Hey, I really want to a good Pc for my first mainly gaming Computer but Im not really sure on which is the better the 3060 or 3070. I am at my highest price i would like to go. I’m planing of playing games such as Hitman 2, Microsoft Flightsimulator 2020, Planet coaster and COD Modern warfare at a reasonable FPS and preferably at 1440p. And also I was planning on getting a 512GB PCS 2.5" SSD and a 256GB PCS PCIe M.2 SSD would you say this alright or suggest anything else, any suggestions would be appreciated , Thanks Fizzo

Hey there, I would like a gaming/ work PC I've done a fair bit of research into gaming PC and have increased my budget since I have seen performance boost change incredibly. I would preferably not like to increase my budget drastically because I'm already at max budget. I would like to play games like the new CODs ,Microsoft Flight Simulator , Hitman 3 and maybe a small bit of 3D modelling. In that case you don't need a 3080 which is 4k GPU, so I've tweakedyour build, given yo a better motherboard,psu. storage and cooler and saved you money into the bargain, in fact with what I've saved you and about another £80 you could get a 1440p 144Hz monitor

If you’re hoping to push frames at higher quality levels on a 1440p screen, the 3070 might be a better option. Especially for Flight Sim.

The build @Martinr36 has specced for you is a really solid base, I think you need to have a think about when you’re likely to go 1440p and how much you’re wanting to spend on the monitor itself.

When we know that, we’re in the best possible place to advise what GPU is best and a monitor to suit it.

The 3060Ti is a very good starting point for 1440p 144Hz gaming with something like a 27" Odyssey G5, as @AgentCooper says it really depends on your budget, he has a 3070 connected up to an AOC ultrawide

The only thing is my Old PC (A ten year old one with a 1050ti) wasn’t the best of machines and i realise how much FPS mattered on MFS when it ran on 10FPS It’s just seeing that i could fit a 3080 into my budget I do see myself upgrading my monitor. But I completely get you saying i could fit a monitor into my budget and a perfectly reasonable 3060TI, Thanks :)

A monitor to suit the 3080 will set you back £700 - £1200
