Even after 3 years you are very unlikely to need 16GB of ram. You would be better off going with 8GB and getting the 780.

Get the 8GB, the 770 would be a bottleneck before it and it would be a lot easier and cheaper to add an extra 8GB of RAM compared to upgrading a graphics card.

you can't choose the case you selected for a gaming rig, not designed for that. Your components are going to get hot. Full ATX motherboard, triple copper heatpipe and you may want to consider an additional hard drive. 250gb is not much.

ok fair enough on the case i may get the haf case again.
like i said i did not want to spend over £1k so i'll have to wait a bit longer then go for a 500gb SSD EVO.

was hanging on a while anyway,

cheers for your help.

I wouldn't compromise in other components for an SSD which you can add later on and is not essential. You won't be able to have the OS and many games with 250gb. I would get a 1tb caviar black instead.

Just get a 1tb Caviar Black HDD and add an SSD later, it's really easy to add later. The SSD isn't essential, a decent case is :)
