thanks for the advice will be looking at the 3070 etc when they do come out but will still be looking to making my build into an absolute monster so might go a bit overkill at some point lol

i actually just went onto youtube and found a video explaining it a little bit. if i'm playing a game on a 144hz at 144fps and my obs is open on a 60hz monitor then the 60hz monitor cant keep up. the solution was to move the obs to the 144hz monitor and minimize it as i play

Encoder is Hardware (NVENC) at the moment. just seen my bitrate is sitting at 5000 aswell could that be anything to do with it? FPS Type is set to Common FPS Values which is 60.....i think i might have figured whats wrong lol
