I'm looking to upgrade to my PC to add/replace parts to what i already have. my build is used for streaming/recording and does the job very well. however i cannot use the full potential of my gaming monitor (250hz but only looking to get 144hz) i can only get 60hz while streaming. I was wondering if anyone could suggest what to add or replace to help me to get better fps and more storage and overall quality of performance
here is my spec below

CPU-Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor

Cooler- Corsair - H100x Liquid CPU Cooler

Motherboard- Asus - ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

Memory- Corsair - Vengeance LED 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2666 Memory

Storage- Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Graphics- NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8 GB Founders Edition Video Card

Case- be quiet! - Dark Base 900 (Black) ATX Full Tower Case

Power Supply- Corsair - TXM Gold 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Monitor- Acer - Predator XB272 bmiprz 27.0" 1920x1080 240Hz Monitor
2x BenQ - GL2760H 27.0" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor

Thank You in Advance
Chris

Meh. Maybe. But similarly if it's stretched rather than duplicated then that's three 1080p screens to power which is not far off 4k. And a 1070ti doing 0.75 x 4k is never going to get more than 60fps.

Need to know how these screens are being used and connected to the PC.

screens are mirrored i can still play at 144hz but the stream comes across laggy

What hardware are you using to stream? There's nothing wrong with that build, it's your streaming setup that likely needs work.
Encoder is Hardware (NVENC) at the moment. just seen my bitrate is sitting at 5000 aswell could that be anything to do with it? FPS Type is set to Common FPS Values which is 60.....i think i might have figured whats wrong lol

You just need a decent capture card, and perhaps a GPU upgrade, no need to get rid of the build, it's got plenty of life left in it.

Decent capture card is the 4k60 Pro which will go up to 1080p 240fps or 4k 60fps. It's available in the upgrade options on your main PCS account, or of course you can source from elsewhere if you can find it cheaper, it's currently £198 on PCS. That essentially offloads a lot of the stream resources off the PC itself making for a far better gaming experience while streaming.

For GPU, perhaps consider the RTX3070 when it's released at the end of the month which will probably be around £550, again, you can choose this from the upgrades section of your main PCS account.

Those two combined will transform both your gaming and streaming experience.

Sorry, only just noticed that you're only gaming on the one monitor, no need for the GPU upgrade then, 3070 is FAAARRR too powerful for 1080p. You'd be fine with the current 1070 for a while to come.

i actually just went onto youtube and found a video explaining it a little bit. if i'm playing a game on a 144hz at 144fps and my obs is open on a 60hz monitor then the 60hz monitor cant keep up. the solution was to move the obs to the 144hz monitor and minimize it as i play

Ah, gotcha, makes sense.

Capture card is well worth it in the long term for any streaming setup, gives a much higher quality stream and offloads resources from the PC.

thanks for the advice will be looking at the 3070 etc when they do come out but will still be looking to making my build into an absolute monster so might go a bit overkill at some point lol

The biggest improvement will be upgrading the monitor, it's holding everything else back. 1080p is dead really, you want to be looking at 1440 ultrawide as a minimum with the 3000 series GPU's.
