So for my PC journey, in the end, I actually managed to source a GPU card myself at RRP (FE too)!
This meant at 21 working days I amended my PCS order and therefore left the GPU queue, and my PC went into building yesterday at 22 working days.
I still have my fingers crossed for you all 🤞
Thanks for the information, all really valuable. I might consider changing the case (it was a black one I wanted, but the Corsair ones do look great too).
Is the AIO cooler quieter than the fan or noisier?
Thanks for your suggestion @AgentCooper! I have some questions about your changes to understand a bit more:
Case - I really like my current case, so was wondering why you would pick this one and also if I use the other specs with my current case would that still work well in your opinion?
RAM -...
I have recently managed to find an NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti GPU, and thus I would like some advice on where I need to update some of the components that I have on my custom PC build. This includes upgrades or downgrades where applicable (as I can upgrade with some extra budget I now have and downgrade...
This is a good point, keep an eye out on stock from other retailers and if you see a (reasonably priced) graphics card it looks like it is very easy to amend your order and remove the graphics card from your PCS order!
Should be free to amend this if your PC has not gone into building yet.

Fantastic news, enjoy your new PC and be sure to let us know how it is (and curious which brand graphics card you get)!
Congrats, my fingers are crossed that I get the next batch as I am on 18 working days!
Thanks for all the info, gee did not even see the STRIX when I was ordering (I am thinking it was not even available to chose from due to the scarcity you mention). So indeed I will have the bog-standard 3070 card that PCS offer, which I will be very happy with!
I cannot wait, I have all fingers...
I am on working day 17 on my build with an NVIDIA RTX 3070, so fingers crossed it will go into building like you guys soon 🤞
Although I messaged to ask what the hold-up is due to (in case there is something else other than graphics card that is holding up my build). No response yet!
Happy to...
I appreciate the advice here, interesting food for thought. However, for this thread I wanted to get answers to the following:
What NVIDIA 3070 GPUs my build can support (all, or only certain brands)?
What motherboard should I change to support any GPU?
If someone can answer these for me here...
Thanks for your interest in helping me out here!
To answer your questions:
The only reason that swayed me is I saw that Intel chips are better (marginally) for gaming, and that is what I will primarily be using this PC for. I saw AMD were good for workstations that require multiple applications...
I have designed a custom PC and I am waiting on the GPU to become available (oh the struggle!)
As it may take a while, I am looking at what other brand GPUs are compatible with my build/motherboard? AFAIK, PCS stock only Zotac and Palit, and sometimes founders editions.
I am interested in an...
