Thanks man, I'll check that now. Quick update on this, I'm on the phone to a guy at Currys who agrees it's rubbish that the system was not advertised properly and is contacting stores to see if they have a proper 2070 super (or 2080 super) in stock to swap out for me. I'll keep this updated.
