Have you tried to repaste the thermal??
I have the same model you have and mine got thermal issues as well. I decided to repaste it and got at least 10-15 C lower temp.
And this is btw without changing any undervolt or what so ever.
And the bios update thing, I totally agree with you...
Does this mother board even support DDR5?
He will have to change the whole entire mother board just in order to upgrade to DDR5 RAM lol...
Not sure if those DDR5 vs DDR4 will give THAT many fps to be honest. I didn't even notice the difference between DDR4 and DDR3 more than "bench mark"...
A few years ago, I thought that 8GB RAM was enough but today, it's like nothing and you can fill up those 8GB in no time.
All the apps are taking more and more RAMs and I can imagine how it looks like in the future.
Not sure why the taboo of buying extra RAM when the technology is going...
I'm using it for a lot of internet tabs, I work as a manager who ordering stuff in a big company and sometimes I work from home.
Not kidding but there are occasions I have almost 1000 tabs up at the same time.
But will that ram i linked fit to this laptop? Is that the same ram pc specialist...
I was thinking to be future proof and second reason is: will that be even possible to buy 16Gb 2400 MHz rams in the future?
Is this the identical rams which this laptop is using?

Hi,
I'm considering to buy Octane VI 17 inches laptop.
But I don't know how the system works:
If you choose 2x 16 Gb ram from Cosair (DDR4 - 2400mhz).
How many slots of ram are there in total in this laptop?
Will I still be able to upgrade - by adding 2 more 16x 2 cosair DDR4 2400 MHz...
I'm in the same situation as well :( also look for one myself.
But I think those codes are for people who have ordered stuff before / previously and therefore they are getting discounts for the next buy.
