Same. Gonna try for a base 3080 and skip the Ti. Although wish I could get a 2080Ti or something temporary (but even those are priced sky-high and PCS don't offer it) so i can at least game NOW until 3080 is more available. Seems only a 2060 SUPER is the only one stocked/available.. :(
Based on 15% approx improvement and 20% more vram for around 500 extra I’m gonna stick with trying to grab a 3080/3070.
if I’m able to get a 3080 what specs do you guys suggest changing from the suggestion config link? The case for sure due to it reports the cards too long for the current case...
Gotcha! Cyberpunk is probably something I wouldn’t play really so that’s alright. Mostly COD with the once a month Truck Sim/GTA V/Flight Sim stream but Cold War and Warzone being the daily games.
Ive attached some graphics settings I’ve seen pro players use on 2080/2080Ti/3080/3090.
I’ve been...
Thanks.
My twitch buddy has a 3080 and a 5800x and gets 130/140fps @ 2K about 70-80fps in Cyberpunk (admittedly Cyberpunk is probably a game I won’t play lol).
I was thinking more future-wise when i get 4K panels when they're more affordable but I guess I can just upgrade the card later on as I doubt the 4K displays will drop anytime soon..
I guess a 3070 will power 3x 1440p screens for now, plus easier to get hold of so that's a bonus! :) What FPS...
Interesting! I've just seen the "admit it, you bought the 3090 because the 3080 wait times were too much for you" thread. Seems STRIX 3090 is faster(?) but i don't really wanna get a 3090 which is +£2,088 on top LOL.
But I'm pretty impatient uh-oh... :(
Also seems a 3080 wont fit the case...
TDo you know if a 3070 is easier or harder to get hold of over a 3080?
I see my local Currys get 3080 stock a few times a month but they rarely get 3070s so I assume it's a more popular/in demand card for gamers or just less being produced? I don't mind the wait times regardless.
Thanks! I...
So you recommend the 5800X too? I think that's what I might go with from @AgentCooper's build. Minus the Wi-Fi card and adding a Elgato 4K MK.2.
Is a 3070 fine or should I go 3080? 3 1440p monitors (gaming on just one) £2,850 @ 3080 level - £2,548.00 3070 (so +£312 for 3070>3080).
My guess is...
Thanks! I was speaking to Jarrod and he quoted someone's comment "Compared to the 5600X and 5900X, the 5800X is definitely less interesting for its price, especially if you're just gaming." I guess Gamers Nexus isn't a fan either price-wise? But i try and take YT reviews as a pinch of salt as...
for £42 extra is the Ryzen 3900X worth the £42 over the 5800X or nah? In previous thread I was suggested the 3900X/3950X but not sure if the 5800X is the new entry? As i believe that didn't exist during my other thread.
I've also ditched the WiFi card and removed my Elgato 4K60 PRO MK.2 as it...
Yeah. I considered G9 in the other thread and checked out my buddy's rig with the G9 but honestly for me for work and window arrangement i found it so much easier with 3 displays than messing around with ultrawide. Does look good when gaming though across the whole screen / split!
Hey everyone!
Hope everyone is keeping safe and well!
Following up from my previous thread: New Build - Suggestions? I did indeed decide to wait for the 3000 series and AMD new CPUs.
I'm once again asking for build advice/suggestions. The requirements and such are mostly the same.
I'm fine...
3: Game on middle monitor only left/right monitors for Twitch Chat, Spotify etc.
2: Game on one - everything else on the other. I'll probably get 2 and then get a 3rd a few months later-in. Which might allow me to buy a better 3rd to then be the gaming one.
When i'm not gaming...
