Hi guys!
so they did remove the Vyper 17,3" from their website, but they have just released a new model called "17,3" IONICO", which seems to use the same Tongfang body.
For me as an architect it would have been a better option (i bought the Vyper 3 months ago) as it offers a QHD 100% sRGB...
So I just read a full review of a competitors chassis (same Tongfang GM7MPHP) in a well-known website, and they got 11hours 24mins battery runtime at idle! (min brightness and no Wlan) and almost 7hours while websurfing; and it seems to work well without power drops!
Its sold here in Germany...
Many thanks @barlew and @Nursemorph for answering!
Yes I can understand what you both are saying...it was just the frustration talking :) as paying almost 2000€ I expect a good QC and to receive a good working laptop...but it's true that maybe it was a transit fall or smth, and it's not their...
Hi guys!
so during this long week after my last post i´ve been exchanging emails with PCS. After sending the audio files they told me that I cant do nothing by myself and I have to send it for RMA.
The thing is that I bought the laptop with the 67€ extra for "FAST TRACK 3 Working days...
I just ordered the 128gb option and bought the 2x 970 Evo 1TB in another store for 220€ both and installed myself! it was almost the same price as 2x PCS SSD 1TB
Thanks barlew, i will contact them tomorrow! the plastic flap is quite well glued to the fan, thats why I didnt wanted to remove it haha i've continue using it and the rattling sound is there but really weak....but as it's brand new, I dont want to have problems in the future :) I will keep you...
haha thanks! we found the same picture!
Ok I will try, there are just 3 screws and the cable; but what should I do with these two bands that are glued to the fan? peel them off gently?
Thanks again barlew! but I prefer to avoid that, as I dont want to do smth wrong as its brand new and under the 14-days return :)
But i've some news, as I have found the same "glue" drop in different websites selling the fan...so I guess its completely normal. Then I ask myself again why it...
No worries! sadly to right fan is facing down so I cant see that...maybe that "glue" must be there, but I cant find any other reason for the rattling..
Somehow stuck to the fan...thats why i said "glue drop"...but it doesnt make sense as that space all around the fan is empty, just for that thing..and i could imagine that the weight could cause the fan to be bad balanced..could you maybe check yours? :)
pd: so I just found a pic of the same...
Many thanks you both @barlew and @SpyderTracks for your kind fast help!
I just opened it for the second time (first one was to place the two 970 Evo i bought separately) and the only weird thing I can see is this brown...glue drop? not sure what it is...but maybe its weight is causing a slight...
Thanks! after a restart it sounds much weaker, barely noticeable...but as if it sounds its due to physical damage, I don't know whether to ask support or wait a few days...I uploaded two audio files in my previous post, could you check them? :)
Many thanks @barlew ! for the moment I will leave it without undervolting it!
I just received it and im quite happy with the build quality! the keyboard is just ok and the webcam is really bad placed, but i knew this and its ok for me. The display is quite nice, it just have some minor bleeding...
Many thanks @Nursemorph and @ubuysa for your tips!!
I said overclock too, but my question was more oriented to undervolt, as I've read many users doing that for having better temps without loosing too much performance. But yes, I could test first if I have cooling issues :)
