That's a 3 generation old CPU on a dead-end platform (so no upgrade potential). We're onto the 9000 series CPUs now.
However, if you have picked AM4 platform for a reason, the 5700X3D is the best gaming CPU available for that platform. There are benchmarks showing the current gen 9600X lies...
it should be connected to a surge protector / surge-protected multi-gang anyway.
But if you're buying one, can I recommend you got for a brand that's actually known, rather than one from an unknown brand that changes its name every week to avoid bad reviews, made for selling tat on AliXpress &...
So, what monitor are you going for - or just let us know the resolution & FPS you're aiming for if you're looking for recommendations?
What is the max budget that we can't go over for the PC?
Any significant uses other than gaming?
Any space constraints that means you need a smaller case...
How big of a priority is the gaming side over the photo-processing side? If it's more gaming then the new 9800X3D is the CPU to go for. If it's the photo processing then the newer 9900X may be the better option (but you will lose a little gaming performance at 1440p, less so at 4k).
I'd up the...
Here’s a build based on the latest & greatest AMD CPU, and is £300 less (but gone down to 32GB RAM unless you have a specific need for more).

CORSAIR iCUE 5000X RGB MID TOWER GAMING CASE
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Eight Core CPU (Up to 5.2GHz/104MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5)

What’s the 96GB of RAM for, it’s of no benefit for gaming?
No-one on here would recommend any Intel CPU for gaming…the current gaming king is the 9800X3D.
A decent gaming motherboard will have 7.1 audio built in.
You won't gain any loading/gaming speedy fitting anything faster than about 5000MB/s, so pointless paying extra for a faster one.
Mainly because OLEDs in this size are more common, thus cheaper & easier to find...plus it's got 30% less pixels to drive, so don't need as beefy/expensive a GPU.
The build you've linked to is almost £3700, and has some sub-optimal components (RAM, PSU, cooler).
Here's the tweaks I'd make to the rest of the build, but I'm not a VR expert, so I'll leave the GPU recommendation to others, but as the total resolution is over half-4k per eye, I assume it will...
That's a very healthy budget, and I'd probably suggest you pair it with an OLED ultrawide 3440x1440p monitor and downgrade the GPU to match, as the 4090 is seriously overpriced at the moment, and new models are due in Q1 2025.
Here's some tweaks which will not lose you any real-world...
What VR headset (resolution) are we talking about? Is there also a monitor you'll be playing on, if so what's the make & model?
Personally, I'd not be paying a premium to buy a 2 year old, outgoing model of any top-end GPU, considering the next gen is being released in Q1 2025.
The cooler keeps the CPU in its most efficient operating temperature range, so it doesn't start to slow down when it gets too hot. That's also part of the reason for the larger case, as there's more area for the air to be drawn in from, and space inside to allow air to move away from hot...
This.
We're 'just around the corner' of new GPU releases (Q1 2025)...so either buy a cheaper GPU (7600XT?) and stick with 1080p for now, and save the extra towards a new GPU when you upgrade to 1440p next year!
I can't find the A520M specific BIOS manual, but here's the generic Asus BIOS method...
https://www.asus.com/uk/support/faq/1045141/#B
1. Power on the system and press[delete] key to enter BIOS [Advanced Mode]
2. Select [Advanced] page and click [CPU Configuration] item
3. click [SVM...
Ah, so you're playing Android games through an emulator (Bluestacks or something)?
Instruction to post your spec were posted previously, but just for you here they are again...
Why do you think you need to turn it on? It shouldn't be required to play a game.
But for proper help, you'll have to post your full config from your account page...
