All sorted. I had installed an incorrect driver
Mohammed Hussain of PCS Support, if you are reading this, thank you so much for all your help. What a professional! Nothing was too difficult for him. Legend! 👍
Will do.
Still having a bit of an issue. The SATA drivers have allowed the second hard drive to show. But when I reboot the PC it has disappeared again.
Hi. The initial Windows re-install was via the PCS account. But the USB Windows install was from the link I was given above. I think the support guy had to do some reformatting of my drive somewhere. He did download and install some drivers for me from the ROG website. He then told me to go back...
Submitted my last before finishing. 🤣
The support chap did say I’d have to download and install a SATA file, which I have just done and my second drive has reappeared.
The issue was that it gave me no options when stuck on that connections page. No continue, no go back, not even escape worked.
However, I’ve just come off the phone to PCS support. The guy there had to remote connect to my PC. He got me to reboot in some “secret” 🤣 admin mode. Oddly enough...
Still nothing showing up. I wonder if I have messed up in the bios somewhere when changing the boot configuration to get the usb to boot first the installation.
I think I need to call PCS support.
Oh gosh. Now I have an issue. I’ve booted the PC up using the usb flash drive. It started the installation but now it can’t find a network. I have an Ethernet cable plugged in. But no connections are showing up, so I can’t proceed.
Whilst here, I may as well ask the following question as it’s related to the install I’m going to do when the flash drive has been created.
When choosing the drive for my install I seem to recall from some years ago that’s you get the option to format the drive prior to installation. Is this...
I’m currently downloading the file to a usb. I’ll let you know how it all goes.
It’s frustrating as I received this PC at 0900 this morning. Six and one half hours later I haven’t been able to do much with it. Keeping my fingers crossed here. :D
Hi
I have just recxieved my new PC from PCSpecalist. Everything was going we until I tried to update Microsft Store.
It lists a lot of updates and tries to download them, but they never download/update. They just appear to be pending.
My Internet is fine as I am able to download/upload...
I had the same issue with the same GPU. I had received a new gaming PC from PCS, and immediately I kept getting crashes after a few minutes when playing various games. Some games, such as X4 would crash right away.
Games I tried playing included Ark, Atlas, Space Engineers, X4.
All the games...
So, I went to the Microsoft Windows 11 site, and downloaded their tool that checks your computer to see if it can run Windows 11.
I ran it and it tells me my PC can't run Win 11.
I have an i9 10900k 3.7GHz CPU, ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero Motherboard, 32GB 3600 MHz DDR4 RAM, nVidia RTX 2060 GPU...
