Might just be the blower type fan (I assume it's a blower). They do have a distinct noise. An Asus would be better although not necessarily quieter in dB terms! I've had both and do prefer the non-blower, but they certainly aren't quiet unless you buy a specifically noise dampening case.
Sounds more like fan bearings than coil whine to me, but then some people (usually younger) hear coil whine more. Does it change in frequency as you play games?

Yes, windows built in security is fine. Uninstall Bullguard. You could use the free version of Malwarebytes as backup security but don't run the full version of that either.
