PCSPECIALIST Black Friday 2021 26th November- What are you after?

Figured it'd be something along those lines and fwiw... if I was ever interested in a watch it would honestly likely be one of these. They do have a certain something don't they... probably even for those who weren't 80's kids. As for the date thing, it should run smaller to larger...

PCSPECIALIST Black Friday 2021 26th November- What are you after?

Been meaning to ask actually, honest curiosity, and pardon me for being maybe slow but... what's the deal with these watches? I mean, I can see that they're modernised versions of the 80's Casio's (says Bluetooth on it) which were cool (I had one at some point) but is mainly the nostalgia thing...

    PCSPECIALIST Gigabyte M34WQ Ultrawide

Ended up finding one for the gf at £479 as it's the slightly better monitor (over the G34WQC at £439) especially re the flat screen for artwork aso. I was tempted to get one for me but I really like curved screens ever since my first 5 years ago.

    PCSPECIALIST Gigabyte M34WQ Ultrawide

Well, two days later and I've finally tracked down an M34WQ at about the price it should be, in the £400-500 range, which isn't far off that of a G34WQC... and that suggested price range shows that Gigabyte are pretty much kings of lower budget yet very quality monitors. I'm kind of stuck now...

    PCSPECIALIST Gigabyte M34WQ Ultrawide

Nice, nice, nice. So, this monitor is pretty much the IPS version of what I have; G34WQC, which has been awesome. Shame this wasn't around when I was buying, else I might have snapped it up. Still, at about £650 against the IPS choice back then, the LG 34GN850-B, which was and still is around...

PCSPECIALIST 4000X Finally on the configurator!

My second best choice after the 4000D Airflow I ended up with, which is airflowy to a degree I was only half expecting tbh. Can't be that much worse off for the 4000X even so. After those, the 5000D/X, though they were slightly more case than I needed. Then... I dunno, one or two of those Lian...

PCSPECIALIST Black Friday 2021 26th November- What are you after?

Just be aware to peruse the reviews re the double left clicking issue that a good few newer Logitech mice are prone to. Some seem to get that quite soon, others after some months of use. It's cos of this that I still haven't upgraded my very trusty G602 to the newer G604 model... then again this...

PCSPECIALIST Black Friday 2021 26th November- What are you after?

Just put down on the TV. Samsung QN90A, 50" for £949 on Amazon seemed the best deal to fit the requirements. The 55" was £1099 but overlapped the space a bit much. Rtings review it as good as the Q80T downstairs so all the more reason to game in bed for the hibernation season ahead. Gf let me...

PCSPECIALIST Black Friday 2021 26th November- What are you after?

Another one for me to check out, ta. I might have mentioned being short a few quid what with new house and improvements but... I did promise my wonderful better half her own super PC a while back and it's always on my mind there... I'm thinking, for her uses (art, emu, retro and a bit of modern...

PCSPECIALIST Black Friday 2021 26th November- What are you after?

Duly noted, thanks. I've been around online, rtings reviews aso, and watchlisted a few, mainly Samsungs (as our Q80T is fab) and Sonys (as my old Bravia, still good for watching TV/spare room etc, was solid despite being FHD) within the 43-50 inch range we'd need for that spot on the...

PCSPECIALIST Black Friday 2021 26th November- What are you after?

Speaking of TV's I have had my eye on one and waiting for a price drop. Rtings say it's not the greatest but solid for watching and maybe a bit of gaming in the bedroom. So if anybody knows if it's worth it... Sony BRAVIA 4K KD-43X89J Any others in that price/performance/size range would do...

PCSPECIALIST Black Friday 2021 26th November- What are you after?

I'm assured of the quality of Milwaukee but not much choice when and where I looked. I just took a leaf from my dad's book and went with DeWalt for the SDS drill and hedge trimmer. Failing that, Makita would do but I don't need much more in the way of power tools (well, I say that now but...)

PCSPECIALIST Black Friday 2021 26th November- What are you after?

Exactly the issue I had re reviews. Not just a mixed bag of brands and perceived quality thereof, but in actual performance and reliability too. It's almost like they're a gimmick that doesn't actually do the thing. Still, better to at least try to be safe than sorry I guess.

PCSPECIALIST Black Friday 2021 26th November- What are you after?

Well, check on the SDS hammer drill for the bloody great concrete lintels in this house, and box cutter cos with the amount of packages we've been getting I'm going to get hurt eventually using scissors... Also a hammer, pry bar, torpedo level, hedge trimmer (same battery system as the drill)...

    PCSPECIALIST Are you getting vaccinated?

I'd be one of those folks but... there tends to be some disconnect between GP, hospital and whoever else as to if and when such things happen. Fwiw I think I might be due for a third shot but then again, communication outside the above is also poor as well as getting clear answers. Probably best...

PCSPECIALIST Black Friday 2021 26th November- What are you after?

Not much tbh, not in the tech realm anyway. Certainly a cable kit as the ones that came with the 1000 RMx are tough to manage optimally. Maybe an m.2 to PCIe card, which I'll use with my old 1Tb m.2. I'd like to look into some parts to go with salvaging some of the old desktop to get my gf a...

    PCSPECIALIST The fettling has begun

Oh cool. I saw those screens mentioned in a tech news a while ago then forgot about them being a thing, as I do. Let us know how that works out, you might have me wanting one. For now I've still to buy and install the cable kit from a few weeks back and figure out a way to customise my desk (2...

Hate to necro unduly, but I've been away 6 weeks... nice end result, MartinR36 (unless it's still a WiP)

    PCSPECIALIST The fettling has begun

Well... if only all my probs could be so easily worked out lol. I swear I saw these cables before but the info didn't fit enough for me to be sure of no PC breaking mistakes but it's all good now. Me and my brainfog, meh... Anyway, just put the starter cable kit in my Amazon basket to order in a...
