Let us know! I jumped on a G14 offer from amazon yesterday as portability is my main want, followed by power. I may take advantage of Amazon's return policy though if it just doesn't provide enough power!
So a Vyper 3 15.6" with a 2070 Super is still on the cards
I do. And some games definitely will go above but most would not especially if played at highest quality. I'm looking at anything above 120hz as a bonus and trying to focus on quality such as %NTSC after that
Bob of all Trades does good reviews on the chassis from Eluktronics and there are some scattered around. Problem is most people who are happy disappear after their laptop is with them so here and on Reddit will be a disproportionally large amount of people with problems
Good thoughts. Not sure why you'd go up screen refresh rate but down in GPU power so you can't effectively utilise it?
What about the Optimus Pro with the Ryzen 4800H?
That's fair enough. They do offer finance which could help (12 months buy now pay later at 0%) which I'll likely look in to.
I've emailed them to ask about the Optimus Pro screen, if it's a 2070 Max P, and when 3200 ram will be available
It has been mentioned by a competitor that Ryzen 4000 chips won't come with anything higher than a 2060 until next year.
If the Optimus Pro can come with a better screen (than 45% NTSC), 3200Mhz RAM, and has the Max P 2060 then it should be pretty solid still at lower overall power. I'm thinking...
I'm having a very similar dilemma, though I think I had discounted the recoil as it is thicker and heavier - though a 240hz screen would be nice I'm not sure how much use would be gained over a 144 that the other 2 have. It also comes out more expensive (by about £200) for the same specs.
Still...
