wonderful news! hopefully not much longer for yourself! I'm on day 83 currently, I still have dreams of getting sub 100 but also don't want to miss out on my cake haha
has anyone got any info on waiting times for standard 3080 + 5950x builds?
I see everyone so far has 3080 + 5900s, so just wondering if I'm looking at 130+ rather than the 100 day mark and want to prepare myself for the worst haha
yeah I'm going to be looking at upgrading to a 4k monitor in the future when they become a bit more affordable for decent refresh rates. The 3080 is also going to be very benefical for running my architectural renders for work so I'm happy to splash out on it
had some points of discussion on a previous post, but think this will be my final build.
I'm looking for high end gaming and high quality rendering software for business.
165hz 1440p monitor & flexible budget has got me to this point.
My main concern was future proofing the rig, but I feel...
ah thank you for the explanation, makes a lot of sense.
I was wondering why a 500gb m.2 would be needed just for the OS? Seems it's not due to the size but the speed the 500gb offers?
Would you recommend just having the OS on this drive, or a couple of my high profile rendering applications...
thank you for your response! main difference I'm noticing here are storage upgrades? would you mind explaining the benefit in having 2 M.2 drives?
I agree the cooling and power upgrades will probably be worth it in the long run!
budget is flexible tbh, initially I was looking around the 2k mark, but after discussions with friends I've been convinced to allow the extra 500 ish for the premium stuff. If something is truely going to be worth the extra money, I'm open to it, but at the same time I dont want to overspend...
Hi folks, thank you in advance for any guidance!
I need a new PC to replace my trusty rig that has served me for the last 7 years. I'm all about future proofing and ideally want this set up to last me another 7!
I will require the new rig for high end gaming and rendering/architecture work...
