Thanks both, once I clued in that the mouse could (and did in my tests) trigger that, the answer was obvious.

Sods law, I find a potential solution immediately after posting... It appears it may be triggered by the mouse movement (I have a USB wireless mouse connected). I'll test this and ensure I switch it off overnight. Still open to any further ideas though!
