Any ideas where I could find a decent video on setting fan curves in iCue software?
I'll get to setting it a bit more quietly for my family lol.
Thanks
I think it's still within operating limits anyway, but this was during the 40c temps we had, just haven't changed it back. The settings it had initially seem to ramp up at 40/50c the highest I've seen it go is over 60c
Like I said, I'm no expert. It was setup by PCSpecialist, so the assumption...
Deffo not 3 years, maybe 9months or so. I have two settings, quiet and full speed, usually on full speed just to keep things cool, I have headphones on most the time so I don't notice lol
Mate, in all honesty I have it set pretty much on full speed. Can't get my head around iCue software properly and it's janky settings half the time. I had the pc built and setup, as much I I'd like to think I'm good at computers, I'm not and I know not to mess about too much.
Maybe I'll look...
Well as I mentioned, it's a little louder than I expected, and in the high temps (which I never expected to be 40c for multiple weeks in the UK) it ran a little hotter than I expected. Otherwise its perfect. I'm also struggling for ideas for myself for Christmas, so thought I could aim to slowly...
Hi people,
Wasn't sure which thread to post this in. Couldn't find a clearly defined upgrade thread from original purchase.
I'm still running a 1080p monitor, so aside from upgrading to 1440p, what else could I do? I mean it's slightly noisy and in the recent summer temps at 40c it ran...
It depends on your other parts too. I was and still am fifth according to their queuing system from over a month ago.
After a lot of chatting found out I got the gpu but psu and mb are both out of stock, so even though I was top of the queue I won't be getting anything any time soon as I'm...
You say that, but after updating my order I'm now told my motherboard has no eta...
I haven't been updated on anything, that's my biggest gripe.
Edit:
After a lot of speaking and confusion, I'm still having to wait at least another month minimum... not a massive problem.
The problem is they...
I wasn't badmouthing them I'm just annoyed. I ordered with everything in stock a month ago now I'm having to compromise. Which means I either get an inferior product or have to pay out more. I can't get what I originally asked for.
I also wasn't updated saying that it was a different item now...
They're also telling me I should swap parts now, even though when I ordered everything was in stock. So I can't get the build I wanted, I'd have to keep buying bits I don't want to get it build and pay for the bits I do separately
Lucky, I've been fifth in the queue for almost a month. Just been told cos they were out of a psu I didn't get my graphics card. And they won't reserve parts. So I have to sit in an endless loop of people going past me taking bits until they have absolutely everything in stock....
Not exactly a...
I've had a bit of a mess about with the configuration.
Upgraded the power supply, only £9 difference to give me more room to upgrade. And also the MB as suggested by bigfoot.
Also read up that ram for the ryzen7 5800x is better at the higher speed, so upgraded this to 3600mhz.
Does it seem...
So the last build link sent, upgrade the motherboard to an x570 and this should give me decent 1440p 144hz, with the option to upgrade further in the future and will be able to keep up with most games for now?
Thanks again for the help people
Okay, that's great. I'd like to see the spec if you have a good one in mind.
Not gonna lie, I'm struggling with all the different options. I thought I knew some basics, but struggling a bit clearly.
Sorry if I'm being noobish about it.
Okay great, thanks for the replies. I will have a quick read of everything.
I know it's not the best monitor, it was gifted to me. I'm looking to upgrade in the future but not right now.
Basically want the best I can to keep up with the new AAA games. With the possibility of upgrading the...
Viewsonic xg2705 27-inch, full HD, 1080p, 144mhz 1ms... I think its a good screen.
I've read very mixed reviews between and and Intel, hence the post on here.
Looking to play all sorts, battlefield, warzone, RDR2, guildwars. Basically fps and mmorpgs.
Have a relatively decent 1080p screen, just want something that rival the new gen consoles and keep up for the next five years at least.
£2000 budget, give or take a bit.
Thanks for help guys
