Have you tried to repaste the thermal?? I have the same model you have and mine got thermal issues as well. I decided to repaste it and got at least 10-15 C lower temp. And this is btw without changing any undervolt or what so ever. And the bios update thing, I totally agree with you...

Does this mother board even support DDR5? He will have to change the whole entire mother board just in order to upgrade to DDR5 RAM lol... Not sure if those DDR5 vs DDR4 will give THAT many fps to be honest. I didn't even notice the difference between DDR4 and DDR3 more than "bench mark"...

I'm in the same situation as well :( also look for one myself. But I think those codes are for people who have ordered stuff before / previously and therefore they are getting discounts for the next buy.
