Well after some tuning and looking around, I just reset the BIOS back to default and only turned DOCP on for the memory speed, and now Ryzen Master is showing it boosting properly to 4.2Ghz at the correct voltages. Something PCS turned on or adjusted in the BIOS was forcing it to max out at...
Are you using Precision Boost Overdrive or Auto OC? Turning PBO on in Ryzen Master or the BIOS causes mine to just shut down exactly as you describe, even requiring the power switch to be toggled before the case power button will work again.
Received my PC yesterday and have been setting it up but noticed something odd, the clock speed of my CPU (R5 3600) seems to be locked at 3.95Ghz, HWMonitor shows all cores locked to this, they never dip and it never boosts to the supposed 4.2 single core boost frequency.
Do PCS edit the bios...
Why are you angry with PCS when what the delivery company does is essentially nothing to do with them? You should have been taking
this up with the delivery company from the first second and you only take it up with PCS if you get told the computer is 'lost' (stolen by someone at the warehouse)...
Dispatched!
Should be here tomorrow. So this is the timeline for a R5 3600/RTX 3070 system: ordered - 07-11-2020, build date - 02-12-2020, dispatch date - 08-12-2020.
Can't really be waiting every day for a DPD email and then have it not come, have to plan around making sure someone is there to collect it, for example if I get an email in the morning now saying it is being delivered later in the day (Tues) then no one will be there to accept it, due to plans...
Odd thing is the live-chat guy told me that 'awaiting' was probably a bug and that it was "likely picked up today", so something must have happened to mean DPD didn't pick it up. If it isn't listed as dispatched by 5pm tomorrow I'll give PCS a call.
Nothing in the junk folder, I check it every time I check the main inbox anyway just in case. I don't think I'll get it tomorrow because it still says 'awaiting dispatch' and I had no DPD email this evening. You'll get a tracking number from DPD the evening they scan it into their...
Mine was 'awaiting dispatch' on Saturday so I expected - as did PCS when I emailed their enquiries team and spoke to live chat - it to be picked up by DPD today but I've received no tracking number or change to 'dispatched' so I presume it wasn't for some reason or other.
Live chat said...
Yeah I watched that also, but it's still not best-practise to have it tubes up at the front of the case. It likely wont impact longevity or performance to any perceptible degree, but it makes it more likely you will get gurgling or pump whine. Obviously if you don't get that or notice then it's...
Maybe others can correct me here, but isn't that AIO upside down? Tubes look long enough that they can and *should* be at the bottom, and if they weren't long enough then the rad should've been mounted at the top of the case.
Mounting it tubes up, even though the pump is not at the top of the...
Do you happen to know what times DPD picks up from PCS? Been 'awaiting dispatch' since Friday, so i thought it would be picked up today some time for delivery tomorrow. I guess DPD will pick it up today some time in the afternoon?
I see. So DPD do indeed pick up over the weekend then as implied? Lots of posts on here about the fact that 'Dispatched' meant it was technically not picked up by DPD yet and that would happen on the following Monday?
You likely will not get it tomorrow. PCS list the item as dispatched meaning 'ready to be picked up by DPD' and DPD do not pick up items over the weekend. DPD will likely pick it up tomorrow for delivery on Tues or Weds.
What is your build? You might be able to change something and go to the 3600x, it's only something like £12 more, and you might have something you don't need like a way too large PSU for example?
Managed to get through to a rep who said that if it is listed as 'in building', then you are right at the front of the queue for a 3000 series GPU and it (the machine, delivered to me) will be with me in "a couple of days".
I think if you ordered before me (18 working days and is now in building) then there must be some other part which is currently out of stock or being ordered in for you, something random like a PSU or SSD. My build was with pretty ubiquitous parts and nothing 'exotic', such as a Samsung EVO 860...
