So its now working on the ports on the PC after plugging it into the monitor?
So issue fixed haha.
Does anyone know from the steps we have taken what actually resolved this issue, just for my own learning.
Plugged the headphones into the monitor jack & it works!
So i'll need to get an extender for the mic cable. This still does not explain why the onboard audio refuses to work though
https://eu.aoc.com/en/gaming-monitors/q27g2u-bk- If its okay to link external sites?
Windows shows my headset as headphones (2 high def audio device) when plugged into front ports
Edited by a mod: changed the link so its for the manufacturers site rather than a competitor site, so no, you cant...
Monitor should have speakers.
Nothing from the back ports unfortunately
I have not opened the desktop but if you feel that is the next port of call I will
The output is Speakers (2-high definition audio device)
Or I can select Q27G2WG4 (Nvidia High definition audio device) which is my monitor
It says on the website it has 2x 2W speakers & the monitor has a volume control? Have I just got that totally wrong?
Windows does also recognise the monitor as an audio out.
Yeah I'm sure the headset is in the right out put, they are steel series arctics 3.7.1
Hi All so I got my pc today from PCS however I have no audio coming from my system. None coming from my monitor AOC Q27g2u/BK or my headset. Monitor is plugged into the HDMI & headset into the front two 3.5 jacks.
All windows updates have been done.
Any ideas?
Case: TD500 mesh cooler master...
Everyone on this post has been amazing thankyou so much! I'll get this coupled with the G5 :)! Thankyou.
One final question about the build.
Why the 500gb SSD aswell as the 2tb one? I am assuming for Windows? But then I'd likely pop it down to a 250gb one?
This is fantastic! Thankyou so much. Would you recommend this over the the above Ryzen 9 build you posted? Do you reckon there will be much of a performance dip between your above post with the Ryzen 9 and this one?
If not I might well go with this and the G3!
Thanks a bunch man!
You have honestly been such a star thankyou so much!
Yeah maybe 32gb is a tad overkill. I just remember when I was a kid dreaming about the magical 32 number haha. Might just be me getting carried away!
Thankyou so much for your expertise. I'll certainly look at some benchmarks for the 7s Vs...
Edit you left 32gb of ram in , my mistake
could you explain the reasoning of the Ryzen 7 over the 9 just so I can understand ?
Thankyou so much for all your help I really appreciate
Just out of curiosity.
If I was to use my full budget of 2500.00 and get a 12 core Ryzen and possibly more ram, would you say that would be a wise investment if I buy a 1440p monitor right out the gate or not?
I picked the Ryzen 12 core XT purely for the performance and I plan on it lasting 6...
