Well, it looks like price fluctuations have made my decision on gpu. Following my original link now has the system priced at £100 more before I make cpu and storage changes. So I think the 7800x3d + 7600xt will be the one for me. Thanks again for everyone's help.

Thanks for the additional comments. As per both recommendations I've updated the secondary drive to 2TB. if i change to the 7800X3D then to stay in budget i need to drop the GPU to either a 16GB AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT or an 8GB Asus Dual Geforce RTX 4060. Do either of those GPUs make sense or...
