So i have ordered a new hard drive and found my windows disk that came with the PC - however its Windows 8 Do i have to install from this and then upgrade or can i install W10 straight away and just use my W8 licence key?

When i use the USB i get to the "install windows" screen and select "Repair your computer" - i run the startup repair but it tells me it's not able to fix it......

Hmm I don’t seem to have the option for windows boot when mashing F8 (see attached)

Yeah but I change the order and when I press save and exit it just says “You have not made any changes to the BIOS settings” But even changing another setting so it saves it still doesn’t save the boot order for some reason 🤷🏻‍♂️

😬 Does this mean everything is lost on it?

I do that and still boots into BIOS and puts it back down the bottom again 😩
