Yikes, I've asked to cancel mine. Going to just get a new PC without the GPU and buy a 3080 myself...if I can find one that is. I still have a 1080 which should last me a few months at least, although at this rate it might be quicker to get a laptop with one of the new GPUs
69 Days? Ooft that's a long time. I'm currently on 16, so I'm potentially looking at another 10 weeks? I reckon I'll have moved house before I get the PC though xD
I'm sorry guys, I've just looked at a side by side comparison of the AMD 5600X and the i9 10850k. GPU was the 3080 and the game Battlefield V. There was like 2 fps difference between them, hitting above 185...I'm so stupid.
Sorry folks
I am very much used to a 2 monitor set up xD
I only need 1 good monitor right? As the 2nd monitor would be used for things like chrome or Spotify.
Is there anywhere I can go to look at benchmarks? Or would Youtube be a wise choice?
I've sent a message to PCSpecialist to see what they say but looks like I'll just cancel. Well I have £2200 for the main PC and I'd probably look around for a monitor but since it'll be main monitor then I'd be will to go to £750 for one that suits me.
I don't need to look into 4K right?
I'll see if I can amend the build to AMD, the upgraded monitor will most likely be a February or March purchase.
I was trying to future proof for like 3 or 4 years, or more, but if it's only 2 years till the next series then would a 3070 be ok? Or should I just go for the 3060Ti?
Would it help...
It's a comfort because I don't know the difference between them and thought it best to stick to something I know. I don't know all the differences between the different CPUs.
What fences am I sitting on?
The 3080 surely means that I won't need to upgrade my GPU for a very long time, right?
I...
Yeah 1080p monitors, I do plan on upgrading them to 2K or 4K but it won't be for a while.
The reason for Intel is more just because every system I've had, it's been Intel. So it's more a comfort pick than anything else.
Is 16GB of RAM enough? It'll be for gaming
Hi,
Link to configuration is https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/intel-z490-pc/bznu2SNfdW/
I have two 24inch monitors, both full HD, my main is 144Hz with 1ms response time, for all the games xD
My initial budget was £2000 but I'd be willing to go to £2200 to add anything...
Hi Androb,
I should've mentioned this but I was planning to install my old hard drive in the new system so that I don't need do anything to move them over. So would you say go down to a 500gb SSD and get an additional for games?

Hey guys and gals
Looking for some help. I'm wanting to get a new PC soon with a budget of £1200. It will be for gaming.
The most intense game I can think of is either Destiny 2 or Total War: Warhammer 2.
I've tried doing it myself but can't decide on what should be in the tower.
Can anyone...
