I'm gutted to say that I cancelled. I'm going with my gut and sticking with a 2560x1440p monitor (haven't managed to decide on one yet). I would also be using the monitor for work (lots of written documents), so the text clarity made me pause, unfortunately.
I truly detest how indecisive I am.
Thanks for that- I feel a bit pressured as the sale ends at midnight. It seems like a direct refresh of the G7 with TV ‘smart’ features, which can be ignored of course.
I would buy this without question if it weren't for the disappointing peak brightness. Sub 200 nits is very low, even for an OLED. RTINGS covered this comprehensively in their review: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/27gr95qe-b
Thanks Tony, I’m eyeing up the Samsung Odyssey G6 27” 1440p https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BMM57RWH/ref=ewc_pr_img_3?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1
It seems like a good deal at £399, but like you mentioned, I’m not sure whether it’s a fake sale.
Just spoken to a very helpful gentleman at PCS over the phone and he confirmed that as stock the case would ship with 1x front middle and 1x exhaust (along with AIO CPU coolers etc), unless extra case fans are specified.
He has put a task through to request that the 3x corsair LL120 fans are...
That’s really strange? The configurator says 1x front fan and 1x rear fan included. Plus reviews and unboxings show just a middle front fan, with neither a top or bottom fan.
Edit: Can confirm it's just 1x front fan and 1x exhaust that ships with the case.
I'm not sure whether I've messed up my build. I'm in building but realised that I had not chosen any additional case fans, so I was going to end up with 1x front and 1x exhaust.
I have the Corsair 5000D Airflow and the Corsair H100i in my build.
I amended the order to include 3x Corsair LL120...
Just this moment paid £87.50 to upgrade to the CORSAIR iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX RGB (PCS Logo). I really need this build to go into production so that I stop upgrading it
Thanks mate, and apologies for posting in the wrong forum.
Might as well save a tenner and go with the PCS logo version.
The H60x is definitely a no-go then?
CORSAIR iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler (PCS Logo)
H100I ELITE CAPELLIX RGB CPU COOLER
The PCS Logo version is cheaper, and has iCUE in the name. Are they the same thing though?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks guys, seems worth it at £499. I spend a ridiculous amount of time researching before I buy- it's so tiring, albeit rewarding in the end. I think this will be the one!
Thanks Tony- much appreciated.
I’ve decided to stretch my budget a little further, and am considering this:

Any thoughts on this one? Reviews seem decent! I don’t play Esports- but...
Hello everyone.
As the title suggests, I’m trying to decide on a new monitor for my order, which is currently in pre-production (PC Specialist build).
From a monitor perspective, I have to say I’m not impressed with the major drawbacks of both technologies (IPS poor contrast and VA smeared...
Happy to make a new post for this if necessary- but I’m looking at monitors.
1440p with a budget of £350 max.
LG 27GN800-B is one I’m looking at- £284 on Amazon at the moment. Any thoughts on this or alternatives?
Thanks!
EDIT: Reviews say the stand is awful and contrast ratio is poor. Not...
Yeah I've paid the difference, my only slight concern was the 8GB VRAM, but I don't think that will matter at 1440p.
Really got to try and stay away from the amend order page now.
Thanks Spyder, it's £50 to change to the RTX 3060Ti, I'm definitely doing that now. Seems worth it to me.
I opened up the pre-sale configurator just now and can confirm there's a £120 difference between the cards, but 60 quid if I amend my order.
Why is there a £120 difference between the RX6700 and RTX 3060Ti in the pre-sale configurator, but when I want to amend my order in pre production, the price difference is only £60 to change from the RX6700 to the 3060Ti? I'm not complaining, but it seems odd!
