1 long beep and 2 short beeps, but working?

Hi there,

So I got my order on Saturday and set it up. When I turned it on for the first time I got 1 long beep and 2 short ones and there was no signal to either monitor. Tried everything, didn't know what was wrong. I phoned up the help line for PCSpecialist and was on hold for two hours and then the line was disconnected. Obviously pretty annoyed by that so I reached out to people on Twitter and decided to reseat the RAM, which seemed to work.

Been working perfectly since then. I turned it on again this morning and got the same beeps though, 1 long and 2 short. Then 4 seconds later a normal "on" beep and it's working. I'm a bit concerned it's going to end up not working at some point in the future though, does anyone know what I can check to make sure it's all working OK and it won't break?

The BSOD Doctor
1 long and 2 short indicates a Parity Circuit Failure. This is a failure of the component that checks the RAM parity bits, so this is likely a RAM error.

I would suggest popping the RAM cards out and back in. If that fails then try running on just two RAM cards (A2 and B2).

Your AMD build with four Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3600MHz RAM cards is known to have problems. Please add your build to this thread, where you'll see other builds having issues with this configuration.

Thanks for the help guys. I've just popped out the RAM cards and put them back in. The first time there was just an orange light and one long beep, the second seems to have done it. The lights on the board went from orange > red > white > green > off and the computer is running fine. Is that a normal boot up?

I'll give Memtest a try tonight.

That's great, thank you! Is there a way to test whether I'm running at full RAM speed? I'm totally new to all of this sorry. I'm still worried I'll have the same problem tomorrow, but for now it's working.
