I’m looking to upgrade my pc I’m not familiar with Building pc’s never done before. I play high fps games and would like the graphics to look good I’m wondering if this is attainable with a £1,800 budget. I would quite like a 4070 super could someone help me build a pc around that?

When you’re saying you’ve never built a pc before are you looking to buy parts to assemble yourself?
No, I would like to build a new PC on this website. I just don’t know what components are good and what parts work with what. My budget is £1800.

Prices are crazy currently, GPU prices have spiked recently, under £2100 you're going to struggle to build something suitable for 1440p

I can’t really spend that much money u fortunately on it £1.8k is my max
So yeah, your only option is to save up or wait until next gen GPUs are out and prices settle a bit hopefully, but you can't afford a 1440p system currently, your budget isn't high enough.

Hello all I’m very new to building PC’s quite literally this being the only one I’ve built. I’m trying to build this PC around the current RX graphics card I’ve added but wanted to maybe knock the price down to 1.8k with trying to keep the performance as best as I could any help with this would be appreciated. Also I should also say I would be looking to use a 1440p monitor.

What's wrong with the responses you've received in your other thread?

It's true that current GPU & CPU prices are higher than they were a couple of months ago (about 10%), so all our guidelines for builds have gone up 10%...so,
  • 1080p = £1700+
  • 1440p = £2100+
  • 2160p = £2600+
You can build cheaper if you're happy to save £200 for the sake of no upgradability, limited storage, slow RAM, underperforming GPU, non-gaming CPU, basic motherboard, etc. But most of us would shy away from doing that, as we wouldn't want an unhappy customer coming back in a year's time and saying it was bought on our recommendation.

I have merged your threads together - please try to keep to one thread, makes it far easier for people to see what's been asked, answered and said before
