16GB AMD RADEON™ RX 6800 XT Availability

Has anyone with the same graphics card got their PC yet? This went to Pre-Order just as I placed my order. I thought that an AMD card wouldn't be so popular with the miners. I am aware that stock is unpredictable at best. Just looking for some light at the end of the tunnel. Most conversation here seems to centre around NVidia cards.

it may not be as popular with miners, but it may simply be a knock-on effect of the general chip shortage that is being seen throughout the industry - added to the fact that some people will jump ship from Nvidia to AMD to try to get ahead of the game.

I ended up going RTX3080 -> 6800XT -> RTX3070 over the course of 2 months (ordered in October), just to get mine before Christmas.

I've only done 15 days Pre-production so am expecting quite a bit more yet. I might be prepared to move to the 6900XT if it became available, even though it's not such a good value proposition.

15 days is nothing. ;)


I'm 40 days in pre-production.
Waiting for 5900x and RX6800XT.

Though I'm not sure at this point what's keeping me in pre-production.
Could be CPU or GPU, but also case (Cooler Master H500 ARGB) or processor cooling (Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM).
Everything else is in stock and has been since I placed my order.

Not what I wanted to hear, but I'm prepared for the long haul - good luck with your build.

I was told by PC specialist they are expecting a delivery this month albeit that hasn't been confirmed from the supplier as of yet. Waiting on a 5800X and 6800XT.

The 6800 and the 6800XT are different cards but hopefully there was a selection in the shipment :)

I got a notification that stores had some 6800xt in today, by the time I got there they were all gone, so they are about.

Hope so lm getting impatient now. I've tried ordering a 6800xt and 3080 through other sites. The 3080 I had ordered got cancelled. Haven't seen much in the way of 6800xt, but 6700xt was dropped yesterday and see a fair few 6900xt so hoping a few are about.

Been confirmed my order has been picked and ready to go into building. Looks like they got a decent shipment with the 6700xt drop

Things are going fast indeed now. :)

Ordered January 18, in pre-production January 22, building and testing was done yesterday.
An email-notification on my tablet woke me up today at 4.01 AM (3.01AM UK time), saying that my order was ready for dispatch.

And just moments ago received a FedEx tracking number.

Now begins the long and hopefully not perilous journey from PCSpecialist (yellow circle top left) to my location (yellow circle on the right).

Probably tuesday or wednesday, if all goes well. (y)

Testing and Configuration on mine, they must have had a big delivery from AMD. I would have preferred the Fractal Design case, but I'm sure the Corsair one will be OK.

Same, testing on mine. I had to change my case though as I was told the card wouldnt fit properly as they have to mount the AIO cooler differently.

I got the XFX Radeon RX6800XT MERC 319. Not complaining. :)

My computer arrived just over an hour ago. I'm going to let it acclimatize until tomorrow.
In the meantime I connected my own 2TB SSD on the backside of the motherboard tray of the H500 and fixed something the builder had forgotten.
