Hello,
i bought a 17,3" DEFIANCE VII model, it arrived a couple weeks ago, and i was enthusiast with the display, the performance and everything, all in such a thin space.
Everything great, until we played some videos on youtube or music on spotify.
To cut short, the speakers quality is so bad that every higher tone played hurts the ears of everyone in the room.
It's cool that the volume can get very very loud, but as soon as i raise the volume above 15/100 it gets so disturbing that is impossible to listen for more than a minute.
I would have preferred a lower volume but a clear sound quality... after contacting support, trying reinstalling drivers and stuff like that, nothing changed.
If i plug headphones or earphones in the audio jack, the quality is very very good, more than expected, so i guess the sound card works really good.
So basically, my conclusion is that the chassis speakers are just bad quality speakers.
Anybody else noticed this problem?
I tried asking if it's possible to substitute them with something more valuable, i already have to send back the pc for some dead pixels...
Support said to ask when i open the RMA for the pixels.
Or else, i was thinking of buying 2 laptop speakers and make the operation myself.
What you guys think? Would it be a viable option or too risky? I really don't want to stay with earphones every time i'm at the pc, and external speakers are not a solution i would accept.
