1st PC build

Hi,

Below is my first PC build as I was hoping to get some opinions on it.

I going to use it for gaming although I wont be playing all games on it as Im a console gamer mostly but I wanted something to run the games consoles dont have, usually RTS, world builders ect such as Cities skylines and so on.

I'm going to be pairing it with a 1440p 120hz monitor at least (dont have it yet but I wont be getting less then 1440p or 120hz refresh rate).

I do light video editing and what I mean by light is creating short videos, I dont need to render hours of footage in one go.
I also convert video files often, I download cough legit movies and tv shows and convert them to something that plays from my portable hard drive (I copy them to one that stays connected to TV so family can watch them with out needing the PC) directly on the TV which also means I transfer alot of files as well.

Obviously ill be using it for "day to day" use as well, web browsing ect

So as you can see its going to be used for a kind of a multi purpose use although gaming will be its biggest use although it wont be running every new top release game as Ill still be on console but the PC only titles I'd want, I will want them running in glorious high to ultra settings.

Budget is £1500 including Windows, I'm willing to bin Windows to put the money elsewhere as I can coughagain get Windows easy enough.

Just that for the price of the CPU/GPU difference (300ish or so) it be worth it to buy a new SSD later on and install it alongside/replace when you need it.

Totally agree with the Inferno L2 suggestion....would be spot on for your gaming needs whilst having the power to cope with your editing demands and make short work of converting those video files. No clue as to your monitor budget but something like this would be perfect (PCS normally have these but currently out of stock):

MSI Optix

Yeah Handbrake (free) + AMD = quality, but if you want even more performance use Adobe Media Encoder (paid for), now uses NVenc along with the CPU, so motors through it!
