2021 PCSpecialist Community Survey - Win a £1000 PC!

Done...but got an 'unexpected error' when I submitted and it asked me to refresh the page...and then presented me with the option to complete the survey again, so don't know if my effort was wasted.

But, looking at all the 'gaming PC' build advice on the forums, I would have thought it near impossible to get a current gen decent gaming PC for £1000 these days - even if you used all last gen CPU/GPU components.

Will there be an option to take £1000 credit towards upgrades/new PC (or just a GPU) ;)

Done! I’m happy with my system and don’t need another, if I win you can donate it to a kid who wants to get into PC gaming but can’t afford the initial outlay… on the condition that they’ve never posted in the ‘free PC’ bit on the Discord, it smacks of desperation 😜👍

Unlike some of you do gooders I would keep it. I did my bit last year when I bought my grandaughter a Fusion 14" for her school homework.
My Vortex III is not only getting a bit old but is too heavy to carry around in my senior years. I shall therefore keep the Vortex for video editing for instance and use the prize for general browsing.

done i have added a few notes on my recent experience.

wonder if it also covers winning laptop/upgrades... :p

i can imagine getting my clevo lafte laptop back with it's 4g module installed... then sending it back in for poor jak to then upgrade it to an i7, 32gb ram, 2x 2tb ssd... :p ... basically make him build another one with a 5g module instead!

one of the questions on the survey made me go 🤨..
i did have to think abit before answering..
There are a few where it could be worded better, less/more options (some have too many, some have too little) or know when you've clicked a previous that makes the next redundant, e.g.:
  • Do you own a PCSpecialist system? *
Followed by the mandatory (but redundant if you've answered 'yes') follow-up question:
  • If you don’t own a PCSpecialist system which company did you last purchase a PC from?

Sorry, my pet hate is surveys/questionnaires that haven't been properly tested...as we have to do training tests every other week and some you can't complete because they've been coded wrong or written based on an out-of-date training course...and then I have to refuse access to a medically-critical, regulatory-controlled, auditable database/system because the user has failed their assessment due to no fault of their own.

Rubbish. There is a N/A option available on the second question. N/A means Not Applicable in case you're not familiar with it. :)
