It will be difficult to recommend something without knowing what PC we are talking about and the budget you have available.I currently have a 23" ASUS VC239 that's coming up to 10 years old and i'm thinking of upgrading to 27".
Any Recommendations?
I do some gaming, video/photo editing, dj/producing software. I don't want to break the bank cost wise.
Sorry but changing the monitor on that 20-year-old system seems pointless to me.
A GTX1050 will struggle even at 1080p
It isn't worth spending that much on such a low end system.£150 - £200 budget maybe £250
Leaving aside the fact that 27'' is excessively large for a 1080p display, the Iiyama appears to be a TN panel, which is unlikely to result in any improvements in quality. Anyway, I don't see any solid reason to replace the monitor on such obsolete system. Just my opinion. It isn't worth spending that much on such a low end system.
I would recommend:
iiyama G-Master GB2730HSU-B5 ~ £130 from various retailers.
It's a 1080p 75hz monitor which is more than adequate.

I'm 44 and I wear glassesDepends on your age perhaps. 23" is far too small for me. And 4k is a complete no-no (without faffing about with settings etc).
Spring chicken 😊I'm 44 and I wear glasses
When I were 44… in them days…I'm 44 and I wear glasses
You know, it's not so much the age as how you get there. My 84-year-old grandfather has less troubles than I have. When I were 44… in them days…
