Hi,
Just having a laptop built with this SSD drive, would it be wise to have a second Partion or not as I don't have great knowledge of this side of comuting.

Rather than commenting on individual components if you post the full specs and what you’re using it for and your max budget then we can advise further.

it’s generally advised not to partition drives these days, you tend to have one for the OS and programs and games and a separate one for data

Two 1T SSDs would be cheaper and more advisable than one 2T SSD. You lose the flexibility of setting partition sizes, but both drives can operate at the same write/read speeds at the same time, and if you have an issue with one drive, it's more likely the other one will be unaffected.

And system performance is improved because each drive has its own I/O queue...
