3900X vs 3950X

Hi all, I'm looking for a new PC and have been looking at both of these CPUs. I do mainly game, however I can do some heavy video/image editing at times and that's why I've been looking at 3950X, however my priority is for games. I have also been looking at the i9-10900K, and I know the cool thing to do these days is to hate on intel because AMD does have the better overall performance for computing tasks, however intel does have an advantage for games, even if it isn't that much. Can I get some recommendations?

Its not that people hate on Intel as much as to get a comparative build costs so much more. The "new" chips are still the same as the last load, but need more power, better motherboards and better cooling to run at stock. This makes it expensive and difficult to recommend outside certain use cases. Not to mention not fixing security expoilts which at best mean you lose about 20% of performance.

At the end of the day post a spec, get feedback and make the judgement call.

We are afterall all trying to get what we want for our money.
