Hello everyone,

I would like to keep it simple as the thread name is pretty self explanatory. Looking to build a MONSTER PC with a budget of around 4000-4500 euro.

Gaming/Coding

Help me out make this dream build a reality as been saving for 2 years now ! (Before people complain over budget and unnecessary etc etc, I really want to build an extreme PC with a MAX Budget as specified above.) 4k gaming.

Feel free to post ideal configurations/pc set ups
Let me know your thoughts.

Just swap out the GPU for the 3080 when it becomes available and the job is done.

Do you have a monitor already or are you looking to purchase that too? If you are, and you have the budget available, I would seriously consider the G9 from Samsung.

Would consider a screen as well. Quick question, if someone pre-orders a machine wih 3080 included inside, is the PC building starting then from 17th + onwards? Are you guaranteed then a build with it inside?

If you pre-order without the 3080 you will join the queue for build. I'm not sure what the exact lead time is right now but I would suggest factoring in at least 4 weeks. As soon as your order is in I would call PCS and ask them to add a 3080 pre-order to your build. That way you are in the queue for that allocation as well.

Your PC won't go into the build until all parts are available and it's your turn in the queue. Once your PC enters build it's generally 2-3 days to dispatch as it doesn't take that long to build and test a PC, it's the queue time that takes up the days.

I tried doing this but PCS told me that it's first come first serve when the cards go live on the 17th. You can order the rest of the system but you can't pre-order the 3080 yet

Quick last question for you!

Why did you opt for 3900x vs the more cores of 3950x?

As above, it would be detrimental to your use. You would get slower frequencies as when using more than one core the upper frequency limit drops significantly. The all-core boost on the 3900X is going to be higher.
