I would also like to know the reason why. There's no difference that I'm aware of between the cooler setups other than the radiator size (and additional fans).

They may be having issues with the setups, but there shouldn't be any configuration issues of note. There's certainly nothing I've heard or seen to suggest any issue. If it was a TX4 setup then there may be some if's and but's, but with AM5, no incompatibility at all I'm aware of.

Not to put pressure but I would attempt to be quite stoic in your query. I wouldn't be happy with anything but a satisfactory explanation, just because doesn't cut it for me.

Hey guys,

I phoned up at 12 today and spoke to sales, I was informed that the issue with compatibility could be due to a past situation of some sort and so they disabled the compatibility of H150i / H100i with the ASUS x670 range. I did ask further why, and was told a team leader will check and get back to me, and they could override but really depends on their take on it. Haven't had a response yet but will update you guys afterwards

Hey guys,

Apologies for the delayed reply back. I didn't hear back via phone, but I did message on the PCS Discord and was super helpful, the R&D team at PCS are looking into the compatibility with motherboard ASUS x670 and H150i, others in the chat were surprised/wondering why the reason is they aren't, could be tied to Bios. But unsure as of yet.

I was therefore going to go for the Gigabyte x670E motherboard, but happy to wait just in case an update is made

None of the Gigabyte motherboards PCS offer are X670E (B650M/B650/X670 only).

That's why I was thinking it's a spec difference in the X670 to X670E motherboards that was causing the issue...but I think we've got a few members on here with the X670E + H150i AIO combination already, and I've not seen any issues posted.

I think it's a mistake in all honesty. Any BIOS incompatibility would affect all the Corsair range. Even at that, the BIOS has no impact on how the cooler operates, only the fan information would interact with the BIOS, which is standardised and common across all coolers.

The only possible thing I can think of would be physical incompatibility. It's the only difference between the other coolers in the range (Radiator size).

The only scenario I can think of is someone was building a rig with a H150i and couldn't get it to fit with the selected board. Perhaps tried different boards from ASUS with the same issue. This would be a case incompatibility though, rather than writing off a whole motherboard lineup.

Hey guys,

Yeah I think it just could be based on one user experience almost, as other build I have tried and speaking to Corsair all said it would have no issues.

I was going for an all white build and can select this motherboard: Gigabyte X670E Aorus Pro x White, it is equipped with PCIe 5.0 too, or I wait just in case the matter is solved with ASUS X670

Ah, it's in the white configurator, that's why it wasn't showing from your 'normal' config link.

Yes, that Gigabyte one will be fine...and probably even more white than the Asus Strix version...which is more light grey than white.

I'd do a 'send in your own case' for the white version!

Yeah strange why for me the Asus x670e doesn't proceed for me haha, but I think the Gigabyte will be okay. Or not being super rushed to proceed so could wait till an update comes about!

Yeah I think sending case in be best bet :)

If you click the link I posted, does it not allow you to proceed?

BIOS has absolutely zero impact on the cooler, still makes no sense

You're better with the Link version anyway. I think you can upgrade it to the LCD version if you want too, which gives you the best of both worlds.

But to add the LCD screen requires a free (or splitter) USB 2.0 header, and we know some motherboard/case combos don't have enough to populate everything...maybe that's the cause of the issue?

Motherboard USB 2 headers all have 2 ports, so a splitter will serve 2 devices fine and I think that was more on the X570 / B550 boards? They added loads more to the 670 / 650 ranges

There are nice little internal hubs to buy nowadays too. Very cheap so I would have one of them handy regardless.
