Happened very suddenly, it was working fine in the morning but in the afternoon i unplugged my charger and my laptop just shut off. I have attached my battery report as i have seen before, i have tried everything and i have not mishandled my battery or charger recently.

When was the last time you calibrated the battery?

I recommend creating a specific power plan for this rather than editing a current plan.
I had the ‘plugged in not charging’ message & calibrating the battery fixed it - the manual for your model may have a better setting suggestion too.

There may be a feature enabled that deliberately does not charge the battery when it is above 50%. This completely threw me when I first got my laptop as it was on by default. I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out why it wouldn't charge. Prolongs the life of the battery.

If it's not that, battery cal may be the answer.

I can try calibrating the battery and let the battery drain as it says, but as soon as i unplug the charger, the laptop dies

If you leave the laptop powered off and on charge for 24 hours, how long will it run on battery alone afterwards?

It may well be that the battery is fried or the battery/charging circuit.

Is the system still under warranty? When did you purchase it?

I purchased this in september time, so the 6 month warranty has gone for the battery, but it is still under the 3 year warranty I have been told
