For testing purposes PCS has to install Windows, not sure they can sell you one without it. What sort of bloatware?

Norton, McAfee and Office, as well as useless duplicate utilities which interfere with and have better versions built into Windows 7.

I am just wanting to know whether it is ok to let them install windows and drivers etc for me to reinstall again using the product key and driver cd they give me.

There won't be any installed as long as you choose no additional software. Not sure about the utilities.

Yes, you can do that as many times as you wish, but as Keynes said there will be no extra software if you make sure to select none in the configurator (it defaults to a Bullguard trial and an Office trial but you can change that to not have them), and yes they always send the actual Windows CD

Oh right then that's cool. I'll probably burn the iso file on the net to usb as I prefer using usb instead of disc that will be provided if it was to become scratched, although I could just create a system image and not have to reinstall ever again.

So with regards to the drivers disc for all hardware devices and function keys etc, I presume the disc I will get will take care of those if I were to reinstall?

It's just I read in the following link that the driver disc stated the OS wasn't supported or something. I just didn't want to have to search for new drivers when I have a disc to do this.

How would I search for new drivers for all the hadware devices in my laptop? Obviously the disc will only have the current updates.

Oh, and is everything set up when it arrives, or do I need to check the installation option? Just a little confused as someone in another thread mentioned not including installation as it is simple to set up.

As long as you include the OS in your order Windows will be pre-installed (though you do have to finish it off by naming the PC and sorting out your network , all you will need to do will be to connect it to a monitor, keyboard, mouse (and network) and you'll be good to go.

Edit: ignore that last bit, its a laptop, I should've read the rest of the thread or title first
