Wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for your contributions to the forum, no matter how little or large, thank you for being part of a wonderful site!

The news regarding Omicron coming out of South Africa is looking good, it's lessening in it's nastiness but increasing in infectiousness. The common cold is a Covid strain, if we're lucky, within not too long that's what Covid 19 will become too.

Here's to a better year for everyone.

Mrs C has flaked out as predicted and gone to bed so it’s just me and the cats likely to be awake at midnight. I was planning on watching either The Book of Boba Fett or the new series of Cobra Kai at the stroke of the new year but my internet has decided to be painfully slow.

But it’s not all bad, Escape From New York has just started on Film4 and I’ve got a selfish measure of Dalwhinnie next to me.

Happy New Year everyone. Like @AgentCooper I have a malt to hand, but mine is a Bowmore (Mrs Bigfoot has a Baileys). 2022 will mark a big birthday for me and I will be starting to think of retirement (a few years away yet, but getting closer). Hopefully COVID-19 will finally diminish so that we can get out and about more. My parents are in their 80s and 600+ miles away, so contact has been via Skype. It would be great to see them face to face and to visit some far away places (for work and for leisure).

Happy New Year all!
NYE started off with a nice Raclette, after which we sat down to watch No Time To Die. Have to say I was pretty disappointed, and glad I didn’t head to the cinema to see it.

Watched the BBC coverage with a glass of Prosecco in hand, I was a little concerned about the use of drones in the light show considering the last time they appeared in London in Spider-Man: Far From Home they caused a fair amount of destruction!

I hope that 2022 will take us in a more positive direction, both with the world in general and the PC component industry. Been over a year with you lot and long may it continue!

For me, it's getting back to gaming that isn't uncomfortably seated (on bed or sofa) with an older spec laptop or with gf (as much as it's fun) on the Switch. I took my setup, desk and PC etc apart to move house the last week of September and zip since. I simply got into my grown up, do the right thing, fix the new house head despite having to wait on workmen and needing many rest days overdoing the bits I could do.

Soon though, soooon. Only two rooms to paint left, then little until Spring when I can get on with the garden.
