Advice appreciated

Hi all.

I am looking for a new Laptop (need to be a laptop so it can move between households) for my daughter to use - mainly educational for her (but also some gaming for me). WIll not be mainly used for games.... but the capacity to run stuff reasonably well is a real bonus.

I have a budget of about £1,200 and came up with the details below. I'd appreciate any and all comments!

Not very well versed on laptops, so will let the resident techies do the bulk of the advisement here.
On a more general note, I would highly recommend removing Bullguard. It's been known to cause issues on systems, Windows Defender comes included and does a great job.
I would also recommend upping warranty to at least silver for some piece of mind.
Please could you elaborate on what you mean by 'eductional needs'? Are we talking Microsoft Office, emails, Zoom, Teams, or are talking about any Photoshop, Blender or more productivity based software?

Hi there - thanks, good point on the Bull Guard.

As regards "educational", think later years primary (age 9-11), with remote learning. As such, office tools, low-end coding tools, Teams etc.

I have made some minor amendments that will benefit overall , 1st a larger SSD from 1 TB to 2TB , better to think larger before buying as it is easy to run out of storage , 2nd I added the Silver Warranty as it makes more sense and gives better protection just in case and third a bit faster memory , it was just 10 pound extra ...but well worth the investment .
