I've been wanting to upgrade on my old gaming laptop for some time now but don't have any experience with building PCs and so don't really know how best to achieve what I'm after. I've had a look at the starting advice threads and have come up with the below spec.
My budget is £1,500 - £1,800
I don't plan on streaming, or detailed video editing. I really just want a system that will be able to handle pretty much any game I can throw at it but it doesn't need to be on Ultra settings, just somewhat future-proof. I'd like fast loading times where possible too as my aged laptop has made me quite impatient about this! VR isn't a great priority either.
At the moment I'm planning on catching up on some current games like:
RDR2
AC: Valhalla
Horizon Zero Dawn
Halo: Infinite
And also some upcoming games such as Elden Ring, and GoW (PC).
I currently have two ViewSonic VX2457 (1080, 75Hz Freesync) monitors but plan on eventually upgrading these to 1440 144Hz.
