Advice on a first gaming machine - budget £800ish

Hi, I've been tasked with finding a games PC for my daughter - she plays Overwatch 2, Fortnight, Terraria and others on a laptop at the moment, but she wants something a bit more powerful.

In terms of this build on the PCS store, is this a decent spec? - https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/computers/intel-z790-ddr5-pc/

It looks okay to me, but I'm not sure of any obvious pitfalls I should avoid.

Hello. Does she use the laptop for anything else other than gaming? Have you got peripherals already or will you need to buy a monitor, keyboard, mouse etc?

If the machine is just for gaming you might get better value from an Xbox or PS5 and a TV/monitor to play it on. You can get a xbox series s for about £275 and a series x or ps5 for about £450ish on amazon right now.

The below is a bit over budget but would play those games fine. It is all last gen hardware though.

Hi - Thanks for the feedback, I will check that build out. The laptop will be left just for Uni work rather than trying to squeeze gaming out of it too. She has a separate budget for a monitor, keyboard etc
