Advice on cases

I'm thinking of buying a pc similar to this. Can anyone tell me if the PCSpecialist branding on the glass side panel is etched or a sticker.

It's glued on. You can remove it, takes a bit of force. If you used something like nail polish remover I imagine that would kill the glue quite effectively.

You can send in your own case if you dont want the PCS logo on it.

Are you referring to the badge on the front? I'd guess warming with a hairdryer might persuade that to come off. However, if the glass side panel is etched then it's not removable. Sending in my own unbranded case would cost another £40.

and any damage to the case caused whilst removing branding could cost you more if ever you needed to return the machine or claim off of the warranty etc...

To buy the case myself it's about £100 whereas the PCS branded one is £62.

I don't think you can be looking at the same case, there's no way it would be that much more in the shops.

Damn, you’re absolutely right.

There’s no etching on the glass, where are you seeing that? They only apply the PCS emblem to the front of the case with glue

I would call PCS and ask, I’d be very surprised if it was etched

It looks like a sticker to me...but my little badge fell off my PC, so do I get a new case under warranty
