Advice on first time PC Build

Hi all,

I'm placing an order this weekend for my first ever custom built desktop. I already have an LG 27UL500P-W 27'' UHD 4K HDR Monitor. This PC will be used for playing 50% The Sims 4 (don't laugh) and 50% content creation, video editing and processing. Is there anything you would change? Note: I originally had the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU but it's out of stock so figured I'd just upgrade.

Thank you all in advance for your feedback!

A 60Hz monitor is going to kill you when it comes to gaming. 144 is generally the minimum recommended these days. It'll be fine for your content creation, but I'd strongly advise another monitor for gaming to get the best experience. Given your budget, you'd be looking at a 1440p monitor for gaming. But this is obviously an additional cost.

Ordinarily that would be true...however, the Sims 4 wouldn't need a high refresh rate so the OPs current monitor should suffice:

"This PC will be used for playing 50% The Sims 4 (don't laugh) and 50% content creation, video editing and processing"

It's a fair point. I was just thinking from a 'no one plays one game forever' point of view. But you're right, it could wait, for now.
