Can anyone recommend one for say £500-£600
Am running a old poo Compaq Sg3 130-uk had it 2 years
And cannot upgrade alot grr

Just for my use Being a Noob

Just want it for running my poker online maybe a few progs like skype etc with it

Can't really comment on a non-PCS build, are you planning to build it yourself?

From your usage if you're just gonna play poker online you may not even need a dedicated graphics card, the onboard HD 2500 should be enough. Or you could get an i5-3570 with integrated HD4000 GPU and drop the AMD 7770, which could save you money.

Are you planning to play other games besides poker online?

For your intended use (skype, poker online) I'd consider an APU cpu that has a better onboard gpu than the i5 and it will cost less than £500. Try going for silver warranty for £5 :)

The AMD apu route does have merit, however l took it from the OP original post that he would want to upgrade it in the future, and the 3rd Gen Ivy CPU's will allow him to do this.

If in fact all he does want to do is Play poker and Skype l would suggest he gets his hands on a Net-top with either a AMD E-350, E-450 etc.

It boils down to if you want to upgrade later or are happy with a cheap build till the next purchase, l would go with the second option as the SSD will speed up the system considerably, just as long as you are happy with limit storage, however a NAS or ext HDD will sort that.

Now remember the E-350 is a low powered APU however it will play HD content with the correct software.

If you want more speed then below is another option.
