AMD Wraith Prism Software

Hi,
I have:

Processor (CPU)AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT Six Core CPU (4.5GHz/35MB CACHE/AM4)
MotherboardASUS® TUF GAMING B550-PLUS (DDR4, USB 3.2, 6Gb/s) - ARGB Ready!

with 3x Corsair LL120 fans, I've successfully installed software to controll the Corsair fans but the CoolerMaster software AMD use for the Wraith Prism cooler won't pick the cooler up?
The fan works fine but I just want to change the colour as it looks a little out of place! Is there a different software I need to download or am I going to have to stare fiddling with cables? I'm still a newbie to this.
Cheers.

Hello there,

I've recently ordered an AMD CPU myself and received the same RGB fan. After doing my own research into this you'll find that in order to use the CoolerMaster software you'll need to insert and connect two additional cables from the side of the fan (opposite side to the decal) and connect them to your motherboard.

I am currently in the process of requesting these cables from PCS because I didn't receive them with my Pc. They did tell me that it may be possible to change the AMD RGB with AuraSync (I'm yet to get it to work). Check the boxes you received for those additional cables. Hopefully you have better luck than I ^^

Thank you so much for that, I've been looking and there's only one cable coming out of the cooler at the top to a Cpu connection at the top of the motherboard. Seen somewhere there needs to be cables plugged into the bottom of the fan?

Trying to find some info on what cables I need, I have a handful of them in the box!

That's the same for me, I have cables at the top to power the fan but the two we need for the software are certainly missing from the box of cables I received. I've been looking for the exact name of the cables myself but I've had no joy. I'm writing to them to see what they can do to send out the correct cables or if it's even possible, If I have any luck I'll let you know.

I've been emailing them also, hopefully we get this sorted!
Thank you for your help on this, I'll let you know likewise on the outcome!

I've just managed to get this sorted, the cables were tucked away in the box...

You only need one of the 2 cables, either the RGB header (3 pin) or the USB header (4 pin) cable.
The rgb gives less customisation but still works through the Aura control software.
The USB gives more options and uses the Coolermaster software, only problem is you may need to buy an extension for the USB connections.
I plan to do this soon when I have some money spare, the rgb cable is good enough as a temporary fix for me.

Hope this helps.

Cheers for the update, I've had a thorough look through the box myself after reading your response. I've had no joy finding them myself.
I'm glad you've worked things out though :) perhaps it's just a bit of bad luck the cables weren't included in mine, the cable information is useful though so i can bring them up in e-mails ect so thanks for the info :)
