Any major updates around the corner?

Hi

I'm in 2 minds of buying a gaming pc over the next few months or waiting until into next year (around summer time), budget can be around £4k, is there any major upgrades coming out next year that would be worth waiting for? new CPU/graphics cards/sockets?

I know I need to bite the bullet eventually as there is always something new coming out but just wanted some advice.

Theres always something around the corner LOL - however a quick websearch says:

GEforce 5000 series - 2025.
AMD Ryzen - next new one H2 2024.

Not sure about Intel.

Theres nothing due for a while, only intel 14th gen which is a mobile cpu refresh.

Now’s a good time to buy

Not entirely correct, 14th Gen will be on desktop CPUs, it's just a refresh of Raptor Lake. I think you were confusing it with news that Meteor Lake will be mobile only.
