Today is the start of the 11th working day and the status has changed to "In Building"! (I got an email notifying me of this btw)

I think they are still going to be in the ballpark of "12 to 14 working days" - so kudos to them for that!

Just as a ballpark and an example. High Spec PC took 3 weeks to be built and delivered. RMA seems to take an average of 3 weeks as well, assuming the part is in stock.

I hope so, depends how long it takes to build then test then ship? But either way I’m excited for you lol, hope you enjoy it!

Unlikely to test in less than a day IMO, hopefully away tomorrow if they are working the Fri :D

Dang, I was hoping it might arrive in time for the bank holiday weekend. I guess it won't be delivered until mid next week if it's not dispatched today. Ah well, there is always hope...

I assume DPD don't deliver on Saturdays?

Where are these %s? I did come across them once but can’t find them now lol.

I see lead times for laptops 6-8 days and Desktops 12-14 days

You can call up and order Saturday delivery.

Thanks, I was just looking at that. Although I would only want to change it if it would definitely arrive this Saturday. I wouldn't want to call up and change it to Saturday delivery only for it to miss dispatch tomorrow. Then I would have to wait another whole week until Saturday 30th I assume?

Well if you find it doesn't get dispatched in time for Saturday delivery you can then ring them and change it back to normal weekday delivery (and get the money back that was extra for Saturday delivery)

You can use it as much as you like for 14 days and cancel within that period. Same with any web order.

I wished policy would change due to Corona and the extended time everything takes.

I had to send mine to RMA straight away - took three weeks itself on top of the three weeks build time and it arrived broken after RMA so it needs to go back yet again .. I used it for six hours and it is already 6 weeks old :(

I think going back I potentially would have used the money I spend (£7.2k) and invested in a Mac Pro / iMac Pro instead.

At what point do I need to tell my wife I bought it? When it arrives?
Just say you've borrowed it from a mate who has emigrated.... You are gonna be in the crap anyway, so what's another white lie between a couple. Just remind her that it's still cheaper than a new wardrobe of clothes (then run!)

I can also confirm the lead times as this:

A new PC ordered on 6th May. After 14 Days (10 working days) it entered build and testing. Testing continued overnight to day 11 and has today been dispatched. All in all, 15 Days and on the way.... obviously can't wait!
