Hey everyone, hope you're doing well. I want a pc that can run Fortnite at a solid 200fps and other games too, but mainly Fortnite and to stream Fortnite too. I also want to kind of future proof it too so I can still run Fortnite in like 5-8 years from now if possible (or with minimal upgrades).

I'm no expert but from the build above there's a lot that could be changed for a better balanced machine.

- less ram. 32GB is overkill for your needs. (fortnite only uses around 4GB) consider 16gb instead. Ram is an easy upgrade later down the road and you can use the free cash for upgrades elsewhere
- Switch the GPU to a 1660S OR Ti. If you're gonna be playing at 1080p you wont need a 2060 and again will free up some cash for other upgrades
- change the 512GB SSD to 500GB m.2 (m.2 = next gen SSD, much faster boot and load times)
- Swap the network card to AX200.
- Increase your PSU to 750w RMx Gold modular - gives you more room for upgrades later on
- Add the additional warranty for an extra £5
- Ditch the antivirus, - word is it causes more problems than its worth and the standard windows defender does a better job
- Upgrade your cooling, i'm not clued up when it comes to water cooling but based on what i've read and seen here id recommend it over what you have now especially with an i7

The changes will put you closer to the top end of your budget but it'll be worth it. As a side note an AMD ryzen build would be a much better option its the better CPU right now and easily upgradable.

Assuming your sticking with Intel id be looking at something more like this..

Hey Liam, thanks for responding to me! I’ve looked at your modifications and tweaked a few on my original one, I went a bit over budget but I think it’s gonna pay off.

The 32GB is for future proofing and streaming purposes.

Lord of Steam
I would be cautious about future proofing RAM - DDR4 has been the RAM standard for the last 6 years or so and DDR5 is due to be released next year which will be quite a bit faster than what is currently out there. You're probably best saving money by sticking to as much RAM as you need at the moment (16GB going by your typical usage), and perhaps looking to upgrade once the DDR5 is out.

My mistake, I actually have a 165 hz monitor, but going to upgrade VERY soon. Here is my current monitor though:

And about the DDR4 comment, I know and have heard about that but I'm assuming DDR5 is going to be when it first releases pretty pricey and I'd rather wait until it gets cheap and upgrade there and then.
